14th Annual Outrun the Cops 5K Run/Walk

Online registration will close at midnight on Wednesday, June 24th. You can still register for the event in person at the Gurnee Police Department during the following times: Friday, June 26th from 7 AM - 7 PM Saturday, June 28th from 7 AM - 8 AM ******************** Want to evade the cops without consequences? Now's your chance! Join us Saturday, June 27, 2026, for the 14th Annual Outrun the Cops 5k run/walk & 10K run for charity! Proceeds benefit the Lake County Children's Advocacy Center. This timed event begins and ends at the Gurnee Police Department with majority of the course on the Des Plaines River Trail. (The trail is crushed limestone; aid stations are positioned throughout the trail with water and sports drinks. Water, sports drinks, and snacks are also provided at the finish line.) Race Day Registration Beings: 7:00 AM Race Start Time: 8:00 AM Registration fees: 5K Walk/Run $45 (Includes T Shirt if registered by June 1st) 10K Run $55 (Includes T Shirt if registered by June 1st) Children 10 and under are free with paid adult registration Medals awarded to the top 3 males and top 3 females for the following age groups: 12 & under, 13 – 19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 AND 70 AND OVER The Gurnee FOP Social Lodge #266 is a charitable organization under 501 (c)(8) TAX ID 36-3984361. This fundraiser is a collaborative effort between Gurnee Fraternal Order of Police Social Lodge #266 and the Lake County Children’s Advocacy Center (LCCAC). You can pick up your packet at the Gurnee Police Department on Friday, June 26th from 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. We are located at 100 N O'Plaine Rd, Gurnee IL 60031. Packets will also be available on race day. Do you really get to OUTRUN the COPS? Yes! Gurnee Police Officers and Police Officers from surrounding communities will participate in the run.
