World Run Day: A Global Celebration of Running with Purpose Join thousands of runners across the globe this World Run Day, the ultimate virtual running event, started in 1999, that unites fitness, charity, and inspiration. Register for our 5K and choose when and where to run — solo, with friends, or part of a team. Choose to run between now and October 26th to be included in our results. And ... don't miss out on this year's t-shirt! Every mile you log helps raise awareness and support for the local charity you designate (optional).  All participants receive a commemorative World Run Day t-shirt, a meaningful keepsake that celebrates your passion for running and your achievement.  As you run, your results at the end of the event, will be counted alongside runners in cities all over the world — together we’ll build a global leaderboard that showcases the power of unity through movement.
