The Downtown Mile is presented by Team Run Flagstaff. In advance of the annual 4th of July parade, 6 waves of competitors will cover an iconic Mile on the actual parade route. The two-loop course heads north San Francisco, west on Cherry, south on Beaver, and west on Aspen to repeat the loop and finish. The race includes six Mile events categories: Masters Women and Masters Men (40+), Citizen Men and Women (all ages), Elite Men and Women (competing for a cash purse) and the half-mile (one loop) highlight- the Kids Race. In addition to the Elite prizes, Awards will be presented for Overall and Age Group top finishers in each category.
Awards will be presented onsite in the Square beginning at approximately 8 AM. Elite Men and Women Prize Purses - 3 deep, 1st Place - $1,000, 2nd Place - $500, 3rd Place - $250 Men and Women Masters Overall Prize Purses (non-duplicating) - 3 deep, 1st Place - $300, 2nd Place - $200, 3rd Place - $100 Men and Women Age Groups within Citizens and Masters categories - First Overall, Custom Prize! Saturday, July 4, 2025 Be ready for your event start at least 10 minutes in advance of the posted time making your way to the corner of Birch and San Francisco streets. Event runners will be called up into the street after the lap 2 turn of the prior event clears the course. 6:30 a.m. - Master's Race, Men 6:40 a.m. - Master's Race, Women 6:55 a.m. - Citizen's Race, Men 7:05 a.m - Citizen's Race, Women 7:20 a.m. - Men's Elite Race 7:35 a.m. - Women's Elite Race 7:45 a.m. -
