Annual 5K Breast Cancer Awareness Run & Health Walk Presented by Atrium Health Floyd Saturday, 6:00 PM, September 26, 2026 ​​ Rome, GA LOCATION : Ridge Ferry Park Start and Finish Location: Ridge Ferry Park on the gravel trail in front of the Coca-Cola stage. COURSE CERTIFICATION : The 5K course is a USATF-certified course ( #GA21022WC ), thus allowing your time to serve as a Peachtree Road Race qualifying time! EVENT DETAILS & SCHEDULE: 4:45 PM Race Day Registration begins 5:45 PM Race Day Registration ends...(ALSO, ' Costume Contest ' report to Judges) 6:00 PM 5K Start 6:15 PM Health Walk Start 7:00 PM Survivor Recognition 7:30 PM Awards Pre-Registration Packet Pick Up Information: Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation will host packet pick-up on Thursday, September 24th and Friday, September 25th from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the new Academy Sports and Outdoors in Rome located at 232 Shorter Ave, Rome, GA 30165. There will also be race-day packet pick up starting at 7:45 AM Race-Day Saturday Morning. But please make every effort to stop by Thursday or Friday to shorten the lines given the size of this event! Costume Contest: We will have a pre-race costume contest and encourage all runners, walkers, spectators, and more to help celebrate the event by wearing PINK or dressing up. Judging for the contest will begin around 5:30 PM. ​​ 'EARLY BIRD ' Registration: Early Bird Registration closed on Wednesday, September 9th at midnight. So um, the Early Birds already got the worm!! REGULAR Registration: Beginning Thursday, September 10th, the 5K cost is $31 and the walk is $26. A portion of race funds goes to help support mammography scholarships. DAY-OF-RACE Registration: Day of Race, in-person-only is $41 for the 5K and $36 for the walk. Group Registration : We offer a discount for groups of 10 or more, who register for the walk or run.
