AU Wellness Center 5k Glow Run/Walk "After Dark Dash!"

Alfred University Wellness Center HDD Glow 5K Run/Walk "After Dark Dash!" April 24th, 2026 - Check-In Registration at 7:00pm - Best Dressed Award at 7:45 PM - Race Begins at 8:00pm - Dress in Your Brightest Neon and Glow Gear! Date of Event and Location : The Glow Run/Walk will take place on April 24th, 2026 as part of Alfred New York’s Annual Hot Dog Day (HDD) Celebration. The 5K Glow Run/Walk will begin and end at the Village Bandstand located on the front lawn of Alfred University. Donation Information : Alfred University Wellness Center has chosen to donate the proceeds from this Glow Walk/Run to benefit Colon Cancer research and Allegany County Cancer Services. Registration/Check-In Information : Registration and check-in will begin at 7:00pm at the Village Bandstand and is required for all participants. Please ensure that you allow yourself adequate time to park and register/check-in. Emergency Information and Liability Waivers : All participants of the Glow Run/Walk categories will be required to agree to liability waivers found in the registration form. Start Time: The 5K Glow Run/Walk will begin at 8:00 pm. Registration begins at 7:00pm. The best dressed contest will take place at 7:45pm. Cost: The cost of participation for the races is $5 for K-12 students as well as students of the Alfred University and SUNY Alfred State Communities. For all other community members, the cost of the Glow 5K Run/Walk is $15. Food/Water for the Walk/Run : Light snacks and bottled water will be provided to participants free of charge thanks to our generous donors such as Wegmans and AVI Foodsystems. Prizes : A Prize will be awarded to the highest (first) place overall finisher of the glow 5K Run/Walk. A Prize will also be given for best glow attire! Best Dressed contest is at 745pm.
