Coast Guard Birthday "Live Virtual" 5k/10k

*** This is the August 2026 race*** Join us on Saturday August 1st 2026, for the 2nd race in our 2026 Military Birthday Series, as we run in celebration of the birthday (8/4/1790) of the United States Coast Guard. Races for the other branches of service will follow throughout 2026 in order of their birthdays (Army/Coast Guard/Air Force/Navy/USMC/Space Force). This is no ordinary virtual race. It's a unique "live virtual" racing event, with thousands of runners and walkers who have already experienced and love our "live virtual" race format. Among other things, there is a scheduled race date and start time (Saturday August 1st, 2026 at 8am Eastern time USA), a virtual check in and start via text or Facebook live-stream on race day morning, timekeeping (runners will provide screenshots or pictures of their chosen method of time and distance keeping), a private and active Facebook group dedicated to our "live virtual" runners and walkers, and custom engraving on the back of the medal for age group winners. All participants will receive the custom 3 inch 2026 US Coast Guard Birthday medal, with age group winners receiving the engraving on their medal back. We also have a "medal only" option for participants who do not wish to participate on the scheduled race date. While Facebook access is not required to participate, all registered runners and walkers are encouraged to join our private Facebook Group for access to positive discussions and posts regarding our "live virtual" races, race day live-stream virtual check-in and virtual start.
