Edenton Nut Run

Get ready to go nuts in Edenton! Join us on Saturday, October 3, 2026, for the Nut Run, an exciting kickoff to the 51st Annual Peanut Festival! Runners will enjoy a one-of-a-kind race experience through the scenic streets of historic Downtown Edenton and the rich farmland of Chowan County—home to generations of peanut growers. Choose from a 5K, 10K, or take on the 15K Nutty Challenge by running both back-to-back! The course blends charming waterfront views, colonial architecture, and stretches of active peanut fields just before harvest—offering a crisp fall morning full of Southern charm and small-town energy. In order to complete the 15K Nutty Challenge you'll need to finish the 10K within 1.5 hrs and start the 5K on time at 8:30am. After crossing the finish line, stick around for a full day of festival fun:  The Peanut Festival Parade rolls right after the race 樂 A sack race for kids brings classic fun to the courthouse green  Live porch music fills the air throughout downtown All proceeds benefit Main Street Edenton's Facade Grant program.
