Frantic Frog Spring Sprint Triathlon and 5k

The Goose Pond Island Frantic Frog Spring Sprint Triathlon returns to the Goose Pond Colony Resort, located in Scottsboro, Alabama on May 23rd, 2026. We have also added a Frantic Frog Fall Sprint on September 19th . Consider checking this one out as well. We have added a 5k Run , for those that don't feel challenged to participate in the Triathlon. It will be the same course as the triathlon run portion. You won’t be required to have a USAT membership for the 5k. We invite all to come enjoy the beauty and challenge awaiting in our host Northern Alabama venue! Packet Pickup Friday 5 PM - 7:00 PM & Saturday 6:30- 7:30 AM at the grassy area just outside of the Docks Restaurant. Please park on the north side of the pool and not by the transition area. Please note that if you are picking up your packet on race day morning, you will need to arrive early so that you can get checked in and won’t delay the start of the race. Participants need to be checked in by 7:30am and transition closes at 7:45AM. Frantic Frog Sprint race includes a 500-meter Swim, 14-mile Bike & 5K run beginning at 8:05AM Central. Swim will start at end of pier with a rectangular course & beach exit. Swim: Map Link - Bike will be an out & back course. Bike: Map Link - Run will also be an out and back route into campground & return to finish by transition. Run: Map Link . The 5k will be the same Run route as the triathlon above and will begin at 8am. The triathlon will begin approximately 5 minutes later. Athlete Amenities - race packets will include race t-shirt, swim cap (must be worn). FINISHER MEDALS for all finishers.
