Purpose: The purpose of the Hope To Walk 5K is to bring Villanova students, faculty, and staff together in support of Hope To Walk, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing affordable prosthetic care to individuals in underserved communities worldwide. Registration fees, donations, and fundraising efforts from this event will directly support Hope To Walk’s mission of increasing access to mobility and independence in Guatemala, Honduras, Vietnam, and other underserved regions around the world. Description: The event is open to runners, walkers, and participants of all experience levels and abilities. The course will be campus-based, beginning and ending at Austin Hall by the Oreo. Participants will also have the opportunity to fundraise individually or as part of a team, encouraging clubs, sports teams, and student organizations to get involved. The goal of the race is to bring the Villanova community together, promote inclusive participation, and raise awareness for Hope To Walk’s mission. Every $250 raised can fund a prosthetic leg, helping restore mobility and independence. Awards: Every finisher will receive a Hope to Walk 5k medal! Entry: Registration fee: $20 All registration fees directly support Hope To Walk’s mission of providing affordable prosthetic care. Donations: We encourage everyone to share their personal fundraising page or make additional donations to further support Hope To Walk and help change lives. Fundraising can be done individually or as part of a team. Clubs, sports teams, and student organizations are encouraged to set group goals and fundraise together. Donate or fundraise $250 to receive a Leg in Honor. Your name will be placed on a prosthetic leg, and you will receive information and photos of the patient.
