John's Journey 1 Mile Walk/5k

Event Start Time: 8:30 AM Run/Walk Start Time: 9:30 AM Event Concludes: 12:00 PM A little over two years ago, our son John was fighting for his life. After heart and kidney failure, a leg amputation, and eight long months in the hospital waiting for a heart transplant, we didn’t know what the future would hold. Today, because of the extraordinary care of UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, their dedicated staff, and the support of this community, John is thriving. He is skiing down mountains, stepping up to the plate in baseball, earning his Tae Kwon Do belts, swimming in the ocean, and even starting sled hockey. None of this would have been possible without the incredible team at UPMC Children’s. Last year, your generosity helped us raise over $10,000 for Children’s Hospital and directly support four families facing the overwhelming costs and challenges of long hospital stays. This year, we’re doing it again. Our goal is to donate proceeds to UPMC Children’s Hospital to continue their life-saving work and support a local family walking a path similar to ours. ♥ We know firsthand what this support means.
