Join us for Josie’s Walk for Hope 5K, a community walk honoring the life of our beloved black lab, Josie, while raising awareness and support for canine hemangiosarcoma research and families facing veterinary emergencies. Hemangiosarcoma is an aggressive cancer in dogs that often shows little to no warning signs until it becomes life-threatening, and like many families, we did not learn about this disease until it changed our lives forever. This walk was created in Josie’s memory to bring people together, celebrate the love we share with our dogs, and support both research and real families in crisis. Proceeds from this event will be split between the Shine On Project at the University of Minnesota, that focuses on improving early detection and treatment of hemangiosarcoma, and Pets on the Mend (POM), the charitable fund of the Animal Emergency & Referral Center, which helps provide financial assistance for pets receiving life-saving emergency care so that cost is not the deciding factor in whether a pet can be treated. Whether you walk with your leashed dog, your family, your friends, or in memory of a pet you’ve lost, every step helps honor their legacy. Walk in memory. Walk in hope. Walk for Josie. Thank you, Nick and Sarah
