Juneteenth Detroit 5k Run/Walk

Join us for a meaningful Juneteenth 5K Run/Walk as we celebrate freedom, unity, and resilience. This empowering event aims to honor the significance of Juneteenth by bringing our community together through a spirited run. Lace up your shoes and stride with purpose as we commemorate the emancipation of enslaved individuals and embrace the spirit of equality and justice. The 5k Run/Walk will be a great addition to the 8th annual Juneteenth Parade. You dont run? Its cool. You can walk. Bring your strollers, bring your friends and family. In addition to walking/running here are a few other ways you can get involved: Sponsor the event (sponsorship packages will be available) Volunteer (passing out waters and snacks) Crowd Support (holding signs, encouraging runners) Spread the word Highlights: Family-Friendly: Bring the whole family for a day of fitness, fun, and community spirit.
