McKaig 5K Trail Race

Get ready for another beautiful, fun-packed, Autumn morning at one of the region's most highly regarded 5k Trail Races. The McKaig Trail Race is kicking off its second decade as we celebrate our nation's 250th. What you'll get: *A special, always stylish McKaig Race T-Shirt (if registered by 9/28) *Festival area with music and post-race food & beverages, including.. *Free access to the chili cook-off where you can taste and vote for your favorites *Professional chip timing and real time results by Bryn Mawr Racing Company. Don't want to run or walk? Stop by the McKaig table and get a $5 band to be part of the chili tasting & judging, and pick up up a raffle ticket to win 4 tickets to a Union home game! *The opportunity to fund raise and really make a difference for the park. As always, it's never the same course twice as you run the trails through these beautiful woods, across streams and up and down hills in this scenic but challenging race. Returning for another season is the Monkey Rock Miler (leashed dogs welcome) , as well as the free Kids Race -your choice of a 150 meter jaunt around the school yard for younger kids or a half mile race that includes a small section of the trail for older kids. A reminder that 100% of the proceeds go toward nature education programs and the maintenance and preservation of this nearly 100 acre oasis , which survives solely on donations, memberships and proceeds from events like this one.
