Meglio's Run for the Pizza 5K

Run - Eat Pizza - Support Breast Cancer Research That's Right! We have combined running with America's favorite food, all while raising money for Breast Cancer Research! Join us on October 24th in Newtown, PA as we run and enjoy that glorious, triangular piece of heaven, also known as a Slice of Pizza from Meglio's Wood Fired Pizzeria! And know while you're running you are also supporting a very worthy cause - Breast Cancer Research. Join Meglio's Wood Fired Pizzeria for the Inaugural Run for the Pizza 5K at Council Rock High School North. Two distances: 1-mile fun run/walk 5K (3.1 miles) Two formats: The Pizza Challenge (eating pizza during your run, and also during the post run celebration) The Pizza Celebration (just enjoying pizza after your run). What's Included? Event race shirts: Registrants receive an attractive, high quality Meglio's Run for the Pizza race shirt Custom 3" finishers medal: All participants completing the race get a unique, pizza-themed finishers medal to commemorate your achievement On Course Pizza for Pizza Challenge Participants: Pizza Challenge participants will consume 2 slices of pizza during their run (1 slice during your first mile and 1 slice during your third mile). Post Race Pizza Celebration: LOTS OF DELICIOUS PIZZA SLICES are all included - all registrants receive two tickets, each good for 1 slice of pizza after the race. Prizes and Awards: The 5K is a chip timed race. Overall winners receive prizes (pizza of course) and age group winners receive medals. There will be separate winners in each format (Pizza Challenge and Pizza Celebration) Small Print Stuff: Race will take place rain or shine. Pizza Challenge participants must remain in the "Pizza Eating Zone" while consuming pizza during the race. Shirts/sizes are only guaranteed for registrations received by October 11th.
