Starting October 27, 2025 — exactly 250 days before America’s 250th birthday — we’re challenging YOU to walk or run 250 miles - anytime, anywhere - by July 4, 2026. That’s just one mile a day to celebrate America’s Semiquincentennial in the most energizing way possible! Whether you hit the trails, the boardwalk, the treadmill, or your own neighborhood sidewalk — every mile counts! Medals will be available for in-person pickup at the Office of the Monmouth County Clerk, located at 33 Mechanic Street in Freehold, New Jersey between Monday, July 13, 2026, and Friday, July 31, 2026, on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Only registered participants are eligible to receive a medal upon completing the 250 miles. Medal: Participants who complete the challenge will receive a commemorative medal honoring America’s 250th anniversary and Monmouth County’s role in the fight for independence.
