Morris Hill Meltdown

RACE Many races claim to be hilly...this race/run is nothing but a hill. Morris Hill is a legendary landmark in the Monticello community. Come conquer a 1.1 mile uphill challenge in beautiful Monticello, KY! This race will be a vertical mile with over 650 ft. of elevation gain. Twist and turns, beautiful scenery, and unrelenting climbing await you on this great landmark. Challenge yourself to run, walk, or crawl over the legendary hill here in Monticello. Are you up for the challenge of melting down on Morris Hill? PACKET PICKUP AND RACEDAY MORNING Packet pickup will be located at the Monticello Farmers Market. From there, you will be instructed to begin your (guided) approximate 5 minute walk to Morris Hill Rd for race start at 9:00 AM. Registration will end at 8:45 AM; fifteen minutes before race start. Feel free to ask questions beforehand about the course if you have not traveled the road before. This race is a POINT TO POINT run/walk. Be prepared to walk/jog around 1.5 miles back to the farmers market for awards after the race. We will have shuttles for those that don't want to get a warm down in back to the market! There will be overall awards for the top three males and females. There will also be awards for our last place finisher, and two random drawings for awards. All finishers will be given stickers with the race logo. 1ST PLACE MAN AND WOMAN WILL RECEIVE $150 CASH!
