Paramount Berner 5k Run/Walk

Join us for the 3RD ANNUAL Paramount Berner 5k Run/Walk hosted by Paramount Run Club (PRC) on Saturday, April 25th! The Paramount Berner 5k Run/Walk AKA “The Berner” is a timed Run/Walk Event first established in 2024 for the purpose of building community around and maintaining accessibility to fitness & health in the Greater Green Bay Area. "The Berner" has been a passion project for PRC from the very beginning. A means by which to highlight our community of runners and walkers and share it with so many others. This running club was founded on the principles of community, friendship, and support centered around running. But since its inauguration in July of 2023, it's become so much more. It’s become a safe space for people from all walks of life to come together and support and push each other to be the best versions of themselves. So we wanted an opportunity to showcase that very thing. Hence, "The Berner" was born. Oh yea, why "Berner"? We're dog people, and a few of us actually have Bernese Mountain Dogs. For those who already know this breed, they are happy, stubborn, and downright goofy dogs. Kind of like we are at PRC - so it seemed like the perfect mascot for this race. And who doesn't like a good play on words with the word "Berner"? It implies fast, right? Ironically, these dogs aren't always so, and that's just how we like it. Come as you are - fast, slow, runner, or walker. We're just happy to build community with you! This year’s event is extra special; we’re partnering with Vickery Village’s May Day Celebration! Stick around after our event, because May Day begins right at 10 AM with tons to explore: a hand-selected group of Makers at the Makers Market, Suamico Bike’s Used Bike Sale, helmet fittings, and more fun throughout the village.
