Pi Day 5k: a 3.14 Miler

Save the Date: Join us for the 5th Annual Pi Day 5k on March 14, 2026! Join us for the Pi Day 5k, taking place on Saturday March 14 at Hawk Island Park. This fun-run raises money for Impression 5 Science Center's scholarship program. Impression 5 Science Center is a dynamic, interactive space for families to play, create, and challenge their understanding of science together. By participating in this event, you’ll support their scholarship programs, which increase access to their exhibits and experiences for children and families throughout our community. All participants receive a t-shirt, medal and free slice of pie after the race! If participating isn't the right fit, there is also an opportunity to volunteer during the event. Race Details 2026! Location: Hawk Island Park, 1601 E Cavanaugh Rd, Lansing, MI 48910 Start Time: 9:00 am on Saturday March 14, 2026. The 10k will start at 9:00 AM and the 5k will start at 9:05 AM. Entry Fee: Early Bird Registration now until Nov 15, 2025 $30. Registration is $40 from Nov. 16, 2025 through February 28, 2026. Late Registration is $45 from March 1-March 14, 2026. Register by February 21, 2026 to guarantee your shirt size. This year, as a participant, you can look forward to: 不 Pie from Grand Traverse Pie Company for all participants  Finisher medal for everyone who completes the race  5K race t-shirt included with registration  First place winners receive: Full pie from Grand Traverse Pie Company OR Playmakers gift card First, Second and Third place finishers will receive 50% off registration to a future Mi Community Event race (details to follow) Age Groups: Under 14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+.
