River Rat Obstacle 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk

Pre-Register by Wednesday, July 31st, 2026 to receive this year's shirt and guarantee your shirt size. Limited quantities will be available for registration after 7/31/26, including race day registration. Description : Please join the The LEX Auditorium & Civic Center for their 2026 fundraiser: The "River Rat Obstacle 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk" on Saturday, August 29th, 2026 @ 9:00AM! All proceeds will be donated to support the Lexington Cross Country team expenses (out of town meets, gear, etc.). Your participation in fundraising will help the traditions that have been started with this program strong! Past fundraised money has helped the program buy team warm-ups, paid for summer camps for runners, and helped fund out of town meets for the teams. Where : The Obstacle 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run will be run on the Battle of Lexington Cross Country Course which is on the Lexington High School campus at 2309 Aull Lane, Lexington, MO. The 5K Obstacle course will have some obstacles throughout the course to include (but not limited to): hay bale hurdles, car tire maze, an inflatable obstacle course, a giant slip n' slide on the course, and an inflatable slip n' slide finish. The 1 mile fun run/walk will include hay bale hurdles, a giant slip n' slide on the course, and the inflatable slip n' slide finish. When : The race will be hosted @ 9:00 am on August 29th, 2026. Race Day registration will be from 7:30-8:30 am. The 5K obstacle race will start at 9:00am and the 1 mile fun run will start at 9:45am Cost : The "River Rat Obstacle 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run" will cost $35 (pre-register by 7/31/26) OR $40 after 7/31/26 and on race day which includes a race t-shirt (as supplies last on race day). The Course : The course is mostly grass
