The River to River Marathon is a point-to-point endurance race running across Pike County, Illinois — beginning at the Mississippi River in Louisiana, Missouri and finishing at the Illinois River in Pearl, Illinois. This race is designed to be: -Simple -Honest -Community-powered -Experience-driven No loops. No city streets. Just real miles across rural Illinois. Race Day Logistics & Transportation: This is a point-to-point race, and we’ve planned it that way on purpose. To keep the course clear, safe, and runner-first, we’ve built in simple logistics that just work: A race shuttle bus will transport solo runners back to the start line after finishing Relay teams may stage vehicles at exchange points or bring a non-running driver Multiple access roads allow smooth runner pickups at exchange locations Course design keeps vehicle traffic off the race path as much as possible What this means for you: No dodging cars No chaotic handoffs No confusion at exchanges Just running. The result is a race that’s organized, safe, and actually fun — whether you’re running solo or with a team. We’ve thought through the details so you can focus on what matters: crossing rivers, covering miles, and finishing strong.
