Founded in 1982 by the late Robert J. Aaron. CELEBRATING 45 YEARS....... Long considered one of the east end season openers, the RJA Memorial is one of the longest, continuous triathlons on Long Island! We will be celebrating our 45th anniversary this year. Since Robert's death in 2002, the race has been used as a fund raiser for pancreatic Cancer Research, supporting the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer. The Olympic race consists of a 1-mile swim, 20-mile bike and 6.2 miles run. The Aquabike consists of the 1-mile swim and 20-mile bike. The recently added Sprint triathlon consists of a 1/2-mile swim, 14-mile bike and 3.8-mile run. The Olympic race/Aquabike goes off at 7:30am and the Sprint follows at approximately 8 am. The course must be completed in 3 hours 55 minutes. The course is out and back. Since this race is in the spring, wet suits are recommended (water temperature is normally around 55 degrees Fahrenheit). BIKE - The distance is 20 mile

Awards will be presented to: Top 3 Male & Top 3 Female overall; Top 3 Male & Top 3 Female for each age group; Top 3 Clydesdales (Men 200+ lbs); Top 3 Athenas (Women 150+ lbs) This year we will have a top club award : Clubs must have a minimum of 5 competitors to qualify . The top 5 members are scored by net time and the club with the lowest time will win. You must be an active member in the club and must be registered on or before June 10th 2026

PACKET PICK UP::
Packet pick up will be on June 12th, 2026, from 10.00am to 10.00pm, at the Harborside Motel, 371 West Lake Drive, Montauk NY 11954. RACE DAY PACKET PICK UP CAN BE ARRANGED FOR $10.00 EXTRA. THIS WILL BE DONE BETWEEN 5.45AM TO 6.45AM. Participants MUST be present with photo ID, and USAT card, if you have one, to collect race packet. NO EXCEPTIONS. Non USAT members must pay $15.00 for one day membership. NO REFUNDS OR TRANSFERS OF REGISTRATION FEES. Race is rain or shine. Race insurance is availab
PARKING:::
Accommodations have been made at different locations for secure parking. Participants will be directed at packet pick up and by the local police officers on race day. Please follow directions.
