Rock the Light 5K Run/Walk & 10-Miler

5K Run/Walk Event: 5K start/finish at the Grand Traverse Lighthouse Gift Shop inside Leelanau State Park. (runners, walkers, strollers, and dogs are welcome) Event Date: Saturday, June 6, 2026 Start Time: 9:15 am End Time: 12 noon Price: $30.00 Race Fee Onsite registration available from 7:45 - 9 am during packet pick up. Packet pick-up: will be the morning of the race from 8:00- 9 am Online registration will end at 5 pm on Friday, June 5. You may also register in person the day of the race from 8 am to 9 am. 10-Miler Event: 10-Miler start/finish at the Grand Traverse Lighthouse Gift Shop inside Leelanau State Park. Event Date: Saturday, June 6, 2026 Start Time: 8:30 am End Time: 12 noon Price: $40.00 Race Fee Onsite registration available from 7:30 - 8:15 am during packet pick-up. Packet pick-up: will be the morning of the race from 7:30-8:15 am Online registration will end at 5 pm on Friday, June 5. You may also register in person the day of the race from 7:30 am to 8:15 am. The event is chip-timed by Race Result. Five-year age group awards (top 3 in each age group) will be available under the tent after the race. All participants will also receive a giveaway, a finisher medal, a complimentary pancake breakfast, and admission to the lighthouse. Bib numbers will be put into a drawing for prizes that can be picked up right after you finish the race. This race is included in the Traverse City Track Clubs 2026 Grand Prix Series. **Please note: A recreation passport is NOT needed for vehicle entry into Leelanau State Park as this is a free MI State Park weekend. Course The course will start at the Grand Traverse Lighthouse Gift Shop, inside Leelanau State Park (15500 N. Lighthouse Pt. Rd.) The 5k will be an out and back to N. Purkiss Rd. This is a flat course. The 10-Miler will be an out and back to Woolsey Airport. The final course map will be available closer to the date pending approval from the County Road Commission.
