Not all monsters wear masks. Join us for the Run to Defeat the Monsters 5K, a meaningful, Halloween-themed community event dedicated to raising awareness for domestic violence and supporting survivors of all ages and genders. Domestic violence affects both women and men, and together we can help shine a light on an issue that is too often hidden in the shadows. Whether you're running to honor a survivor, remember a loved one, support someone currently affected, or simply stand against domestic violence, every step you take helps make a difference. This family-friendly event combines a morning of fun with a powerful purpose. Costumes are highly encouraged, so come dressed in your favorite Halloween attire as we show that, together, we can defeat the real monsters—fear, abuse, silence, and isolation. Your registration helps support: One Place Family Justice Center (Birmingham), providing comprehensive services and resources for individuals and families affected by domestic violence and other violent crimes. Warrior Police Department, helping strengthen community safety and support local efforts to protect victims and prevent violence. Event Highlights Halloween costumes encouraged 5K run/walk for all fitness levels Family-friendly atmosphere Awards and costume recognition Music, community vendors, games, and activities Opportunity to honor survivors and remember those we've lost Every registration, sponsorship, donation, and shared story helps raise awareness, provide critical resources, and remind survivors they are not alone.
