Join Project Purple for Steps for a Cure 5k: Battle Live Thrive Run! In 2020, Robin Schroeder underwent a Whipple procedure after being diagnosed with a pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor (PNET). After years of recovery, determination, and crossing countless finish lines, she learned in late 2025 that her cancer had returned and progressed to Stage IV. Instead of letting that diagnosis define her, Robin chose to keep moving forward. A passionate runner, advocate, wife, mother, and believer in finding joy in every day, she has completed numerous half marathons and marathons since her original surgery. Running became more than exercise—it became a symbol of resilience, hope, and the power of putting one foot in front of the other, no matter the obstacles. As Race Director of Steps for the Cure: Battle • Thrive • Live • Run, Robin is proud to bring this event to the communities of Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. In partnership with Project Purple , she hopes to raise awareness, support pancreatic cancer research, and create a meaningful event that honors survivors, remembers loved ones, and inspires hope for everyone impacted by this disease. Her message is simple: Battle with courage. Live with gratitude. Thrive with purpose. Run toward hope. Because every step matters, and every step brings us closer to a cure. Register Today!
