The 14th annual Run for the Gold 5K & Kids Fun Run is p resented by Mugg & Bopps ! Runners, lace up your lucky shoes for this much-loved race in Livingston County! Light of the World Academy 's Run for the Gold 5K is a mixed trail course of Michigan country dirt roads, paved trail, and the streets of downtown Pinckney. The Kids Fun Run is a 1/4 mile (two laps around Townsquare Park). This race truly supports our community's youth! 47% of our 5k runners are under 18, and we have had around 375+ runners with their cheering families filling downtown Pinckney. The Kid's Fun Run hosts an additional 60-80 kids, and the Pinckney St. Patrick's Day parade starts right after. This year's race benefits Phase 2 of the NEW PLAYGROUND at Light of the World Academy in Pinckney.
