The Shimmy in Shickshinny 1/2 and 1/4 Marathon

The Shimmy in Shickshinny 1/2 and 1/4 Marathon is BACK for 2026! This flat, fast, and shaded course is PERFECT for a mid-summer half-marathon! The Shimmy in Shickshinny follows the hard-packed Susquehanna Warrior Trail as it runs along the west bank of the Susquehanna River in Luzerne County, PA. The out-and-back route has a total elevation gain/loss of 11 feet and 90% of the trail is shaded. *NOTE* THIS IS OUR LARGEST SHIMMY YET, SO WE HAVE DECIDED TO SEPARATE THE START OF EACH EVENT. THE HALF WILL BEGIN AT 8:00AM, THE QUARTER WILL BEGIN AT 8:15AM. When Saturday August 8th. Half Marathon: 8:00 am. Quarter Marathon: 8:15 am. Where 100 N. Susquehanna Ave. Shickshinny, PA Cost Half Marathon: $50 until 1/1 $55 until 3/31, $60 until 6/30; $65 7/1 to race day Quarter Marathon: $30 until 1/1 $35 until 3/31; $40 until 6/30; $45 7/1 to race day Race T-shirt and Unique Finisher's Medal Participants receive a super-soft race-themed T-shirt (while supplies last) and all participants will receive a unique finisher's medal! Bathrooms and Water Stations Porta-potties will be available at the starting area and along the course. Water stations will be available roughly every 2 miles. Parking There is plenty of parking near the starting area in a few parking lots and along the street. Packet Pickup All packets will be picked up day-of on-site. Packet pickup opens at 6:30 AM.
