Welcome to The Workout Group! Our goal is to create a positive and safe training environment for you to run your best. Led by a team of RRCA-certified running coaches, The Workout Group meets on Tuesday and Thursdays from August through May. Our Tuesday workouts include a variety of higher intensity intervals for building leg speed, while Thursday's workouts include stamina building sessions. Recommended gear: Water bottle: A hand-held to carry during the hotter runs, or bottle to stash in the car for before and after run hydration. Watch: Some workouts are time based and some are paced based. Either way, it's nice to keep track on a running watch. Head lamp: Starting in September the days get shorter and shorter. Having a head lamp to light the way makes for a safer and more enjoyable run. Towel: Bring a towel for the car. Sitting in your own sweat on the drive home from a workout is not comfortable. Also, we may get to permission to jump in the TRFC pool every now and then.
