WHAT IS A TUNNEL TO TOWERS 5K RUN & WALK? The Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11,2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers. Honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11,2001 and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty! For more information on the Tunnel to Towers Foundation please visit www.t2t.org HOW FAR IS A TUNNEL TO TOWERS 5K RUN & WALK? This family event is a 5K (3.1 miles). It is 2 laps of a marked course within the park that you are welcome to walk or run. WHEN/WHERE CAN I PICK UP MY PACKET? Packets can be picked up prior to the race day: Fleet Feet Sacramento 2311 J Street Sacramento, CA 95816 Packet pickup will take place on either the Thursday or Friday before the event. Please check back here for more details as we get closer. Packets will also be available the day of the event at the park starting at 8am. PLEASE NOTE: Packets WILL NOT be mailed if not picked up CAN I REGISTER THE DAY OF THE RUN? Yes, same day registration will be available. T-shirts cannot be guaranteed without advanced registration. The registration price will increase for those who wait to register. WHEN DOES THE ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSE? Online registration will remain open until the event starts (Price increases on day of event) WHERE IS THE STARTING LINE LOCATED IN THE PARK? Our start/finish line and Vendor Village will be located near Freeport Blvd and 14th Avenue. IS THIS A TIMED EVENT? Yes, Capital Road Race Management will be assisting with their timing services. Are there race t-shirts? Yes, all participants who register before October 26th, 2026 will receive an event T-shirt. Anybody who registers after that will receive a shirt as supplies last.
