West Valley Triathlon

Join us for the annual West Valley Triathlon. This event is open to all ages, youth and adults. Participate as single participant or be part of a relay. The event will start and finish at the Avondale Aquatic Center. The West Valley Tri is a sanctioned event by USAT. All participants are required to have a USAT Day membership or yearly membership in order to participate. NEW FOR 2026 Each distance will have color coded bibs to help you with signage along the course. The West Valley Triathlon has a new home. We are now hosting the event from the Avondale Aquatic Center. Schedule Pre-race Packet pick up Please see Packet pick up tab on menu - Information will be posted and emailed a week before the event. Race Day Schedule 6:30 am Chip pick up and Transition opens 8:00 am Youth and Super Short Sprint Start 8:05 am Short swim starts 8:10 am Long Sprint swim starts Awards Will be given once we have a full set of winners in all groups Event Distances Long Tri and Long Tri Relay 250 Meter swim 12 Mile bike 5K Run Short Tri and Short Tri Relay 200 Meter swim 8 Mile bike 1.5 Mile Run Mini Tri and Youth - If your youth athlete is 14 and under an adult must ride with them during the bike portion of the event. 100 Meter Swim 4 Mile Bike 1 Mile Run Duathlon 5K Run 12 Mile bike 5K Run Participant Swag All participants will get a finisher award.
